An Alternative Theological Point-of-View

by Jaclyn Brown

Reverend Dr. Phil Snider is an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the senior minister of Brentwood Christian Church in Springfield, MO,  a current hotbed of activity for the rest of the state.

Reverend Snider is a loyal and active ally in the religious sector for ensuring the equal rights of all people and has spoken out against discrimination of all forms, stressing the mandate of Christ to love others as we love ourselves.  He is the co-founder of the Center for Diversity and Reconciliation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to “support, encourage, and empower people of faith to help make Springfield a more welcoming and inclusive community.”

Reverend Snider’s ministry is a safe haven for those Christians in southwest Missouri who feel the love of Christ and the call of God, without giving up on their own identity or being forced to choose between their loved ones and the church.  A true disciple of the teachings of Christ, Reverend Snider today presents his sound theological response to the mandatory chapels conducted by Bob Jones University regarding a “Biblical Response” to homosexuality:

Ed. Note: We are grateful that Dr. Snider has been paying attention to the “Gay Chapel Week” series at BJU and that he shared this affirming response with us.
